ARTISTS: This month's TBA Art Tournament theme is Heroes & Villains. Round 1 is heroes, round 2 is villains, and the final round is hero vs villain. Each round there is a vote, and the top half most voted artists advance to the next round.

The cash prize is a pot that anyone can put money into, and it has already reached $44! If no one else adds anything I will even it out to $50. This could be a great opportunity for you to practice art - and get your money's worth in the end! Every month we have a contest and the prize starts at $10. The more people involved, the bigger the stakes. Hope to see you there!

I know you're probably not a fan of people drooling like idiots over your work, without contributing anything meaningful to your post, but every time I see more artwork from lighthouse girl, I feel more and more awed by it. I hope you don't mind my mindless drooling.

You guys seem to be creating something with amazing ambition and scope, similar (in a sense) to a cartoon by Miyazaki done in flash, and since both of you have the talent to actually pull it off, I'm REALLY looking forward to it.

Shame I don't have any art skills whatsoever, or I'd give the contest a go.

well, looks like im too late to enter, since there already seems to be a winner. Since the odds of my music appearing are shot to hell, and 10-15 seconds of music would not be something i want to be my first audio portal submission, i guess the "sample" will just have to stay in my itunes, for now...

Anyways, you most likely won't answer, but what exactly did you use to animate it? I know how Cel drawings work, but this by no means looks like a traditional Cel drawing(which you said you were trying to go for), mainly due to the fact that this looks like it has many background layers, including on that seems to be in front of the character layers, yet its shaded and lit so well that it seems to not even have different layers for the different characters(which Im assuming these blue things are)
And on the same note, what did you use to draw this?(though you still most likely won't answer)

all backgrounds in photoshop, all animation in flash, post+fx+sound in aftereffects
