It's understandable that you dislike newgrounds because of the lack of originality that pops up every now and then, but surely you won't stop uploading your amazing flashes because of something like that? Some people, like me, don't come to newgrounds to see Mario flashes, but to seek a variety of original animations that can entertain audiences of all kind. Yours happens to be one of them, and it'd be really disappointing if you stopped sharing your stuff just because of a particular fanbase. :(

my main reason is because of the video thing. i don't see the point of putting a streaming video on a site that takes swf's.

buy my shirt.

its okay, it only breaks half of the copyright laws!

half is not enough

so apearently you have a facebook?

who doesn't?

Hey there i'm going to ignore the fact your offering us the chance to see your cartoon that won an (non pixelated) award and pointlessly argue cuz the internet = serious business! ^_^

P.s Looking forward to Sunday.

sunday sunday sunday

Can't wait to see it man, cheers

bring some of your voice actor gal pals, i'm gonna put them in those plastic bubbles hanging from the ceiling and they can dance in them

Let me start off by saying this: although I disagree with your assessment of NG in many ways, not to mention the way you express these disagreements (although I do agree with you on quite a few things), I do feel that you're an asset to the site and that Newgrounds will lose an important voice and contributor if you give up on NG.

Newgrounds has already recently lost an important contributor, ZekeySpaceyLizard, who I greatly admire for his efforts in making front page posts with interesting and well made cartoons, which I always felt was a fantastic and under-appreciated attempt at showcasing quality animation. He was also ready to criticize the site for what he perceived as it's flaws and that's something that NG, like any such organization, needs: vocal criticism, differences of opinion and even, to a certain extent, violent disagreements. Losing you too would be a blow to the site.

As such, I sincerely hope you don't do this, and continue to make your presence felt here, even if you choose to do so sparsely. Given your opinions, however, I sadly feel it will be only a matter of time before you leave. I hope you prove me wrong.

Anyway, you can ignore my above writing if you like, they're just the ramblings of an old NG user who's seen quite a few users and artists come and go and who doesn't expect a simple post like this one to change someone's mind.

Congratulations on the successful screening! Although it may be premature on my part, as I haven't seen the movie yet, I have every reason to believe, from all the amazing still I've seen of Lighthouse Girl, that you should you feel extremely proud of what you've accomplished. Kudos to that!

Do you have, per chance, any plans of submitting the movie to festivals in Europe, in particular, London? I'd love to be able to see the movie in the big screen, where it's sure to be all the more impressive. How long does the movie run for? And have you received any sort of (semi-) professional criticism yet?

Finally, you're doing the live event on Sunday? When I'll be flying back home (from London to Sao Paulo in a 10+ hours flight) for Christmas?

T_T

Guess I'll just have to watch it on vimeo when you manage to convert the movie and put it there.

T_T

any effort in trying to improve this site has gone totally in vain, i stopped trying years ago in trade for writing sarcastic trollbait newsposts. but even those aren't fun anymore.

we will be submitting the short to as many festivals as we can over the next few months. we wanna get our names and our work out there.

i chose sunday because it's the most non-eventful day for most people. sorry you won't be there, but it will be available in HD on vimeo.

Look into some stuff with ASIFA, they play stuff all over NY and Cali. They'd probably love it.

i was actually thinkin about that this morning. thanks for reminding me

cool , can't wait to see it on vimeo

vimeo rocks

Congrats to you 'n Jenna on winning that award!! :D The film looks like a masterpiece and I hope I don't miss the live streaaaaam!

thanks jaxxy, hope to see you there

Yea NG is pretty silly but there are people you meet once in awhile on here that are pretty neato. Long as someone gets a kick outta my flashes I feel pretty nice! Plus its always fun to troll B)

i grow weary of trolling

'hahaha'- yeh about that.. I'm kinda not kiddin!

!!!

fuck you I won't stop until you give me th answers I crave...OK lets start with uh... how old???

I fail to see where you talked down to anyone in this post or even the last few you've made.

Anyways this really looks like you've done something fantastic. I'll be sure to try and tune in.
